The 3rd edition of the ReabilitAlgarve Seminar will take place on the 28th of February, Friday, at 14:30 pm, at the Department of Civil Engineering of the Superior Institute of Engineering of the University of Algarve, in Faro.

The 1st edition of ReabilitAlgarve, also promoted by the Department of Civil Engineering (DEC), took place in July last year, and was dedicated to the exchange of experiences between technicians from various municipalities in the Algarve and some state bodies.

Recognized the success of this first initiative, the DEC, together with the Delegation of Faro of the Ordem dos Engenheiros, held the 2nd edition of ReabilitAlgarve on 22 November.

This 3rd edition, to be held in partnership with the Delegation of the Faro of the Ordem dos Arquitetos, is intended to present rehabilitation practices that may interest the Algarve and will feature several speakers in the field of architecture.

The session opens with a presentation by the architect Alexandra Gesta, on the requalification of the Historic Center of Guimarães.

This is followed by a presentation by the architect Ana Pinho, coordinator of the “Terra Amada” initiative in Viseu, focused on volunteer actions with the objective of carrying out conservation and rehabilitation interventions in rural villages.

Architect Vítor Ribeiro will present the theme “Heritage, Tourism and Rehabilitation: village revitalization programs in Portugal”.

“Designing in 3D – the bridge to BIM” is the theme that ends the journey. Architect Paulo Charneca will address the importance of using adequate computer technology in projects in the urban fabric.

Admission is free, with mandatory registration to [email protected] or by calling 289800154.
