The citizens of Albufeira, Faro, Olhão, São Brás de Alportel, Loulé and Tavira are challenged to participate and give their opinion on the improvement of mobility between these municipalities, which will be addressed in two public sessions to be held within the scope of the conclusion of the Interurban Mobility Study of the Algarve Central, on February 21, at the Municipal Libraries Faro and Tavira. In the Algarve capital, the session starts at 15 pm and in Tavira at 19 pm.

«Finding itself in the final phase of its elaboration, the two sessions are intended to carry out, disseminate and debate the main measures that substantiate the action plan in the various areas addressed in the study: road accessibility, individual transport, public transport system , smooth modes, parking and articulation between land use planning and transport system planning», announced the City Council of Olhão, which is one of the municipalities, one of the members of the Algarve Central Algarve network of cities.

The study is co-financed by the Algarve 21 Operational Program, under the QREN, namely by the European Regional Development Fund and aims to propose measures aimed at improving the mobility and transport system of these municipalities.

This will be the last of the four phases that the project had. Phase 0 was start-up, Phase 1 of "Characterization and Diagnosis" and Phase 2 of "Scenario building and Strategy definition". Phase 3, now in progress, is "Proposals, action plan and investments".
