The recreational society The Artists in Faro will host next Saturday – January 11th – the get-together “Fuck it… Let's talk about Sex!”.
This event is an initiative of Catarina Evaristo, a 23-year-old student of the Degree in Tourism at the University of Algarve, in partnership with APF Algarve – Association for Family Planning, where the young woman is a volunteer and activist for sexual rights and reproductive since 2009.
The gathering will be attended by writer Pedro Chagas Freitas, author of the work “In Sexus Veritas”, by the president of the APF Nacional António Sousa Filhó, sexologist Vânia Beliz and artist Milita Doré, who will also exhibit her most recent work – Intimacies II.
The organization also promises to surprise with various details and provocative “stimuli” and is also open to the collaboration of other artists, organizations and initiatives that want to promote their activities in this event.
"The intention is to speak openly and without taboos about various subjects, where we will address sexuality and sexual intercourse within various contexts such as sex, gender, homosexuality, the elderly, among others open to the suggestion of the participating public", he explains Catherine Evaristo.
Sofia Martins, from the APF board, adds that “we also intend to show a renewed APF Algarve that is closer to young people and their initiatives. After all, they are the ones who have the least mouthful to speak (and make them speak) than everyone wants to hear!”.
