Alcoutim City Council renewed, on January 22nd, the collaboration protocol with the Association for Development, Ethnographic and Cultural of Martim Longo (ADECMAR), responsible for the project “Children's Ranch of the Parish Council of Martinlongo”, reinforcing the financial support provided.
Sensitive to the appeals of the association's management, which considered that the amount of 500 euros a month so far allocated was manifestly insufficient to cover all expenses with the maintenance of the folklore group, namely in terms of rehearsers, organists, transport and facilities, the executive decided to increase the amount allocated by 250 euros a month.
Thus, taking into account the contribution of the project “Children's Ranch of the Parish Council of Martinlongo” to the municipality's cultural identity, as well as its importance as a complementary activity to the free time occupation of children who demonstrate a vocation to integrate it, the executive considers that the funds now allocated are more suited to the association's financial needs.
