EMARP (Portimão Municipal Water and Waste Company) does not have a Christmas tree, but rather a Christmas pine forest in its service area.

In all, there are 13 trees, made with recycled materials, which include plastic bottles, caps, cardboard and file boxes, magazines, an old water meter, pvc pipe, wires, valve knobs, stoppers, beach ashtray, herbs, glass bottles, pine cones and even acorns.

This real Christmas pine forest results, as the company reveals on its Facebook page, «from the challenge proposed to all company employees to build an ecological Christmas tree».

“The trees were made by the company's employees, using recycled and reusable materials, in order to draw the public's attention to the good use and reuse of waste that is part of everyday life,” he adds.

EMARP's Christmas pine forest is on display until the 6th of January, Epiphany, in the municipal company's service.
