More than 800 people participated last Sunday in the Race/Walk of Father Christmas, in Albufeira, an initiative of the municipality that is already a tradition of this festive season and is part of the regional program of March-Race of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) .
With the Christmas spirit alive, there were those who dressed up and ended up not needing the bonnet offered by the organization, to add color to "a morning of socializing and physical activity". Athletes from 8 to 80 years of age participated in the initiative, who traveled a route of 4 or 8 kilometers through the streets of Albufeira, starting from the Municipal Market of Caliços.
«The initiative, which is already part of the Municipality's festive calendar, has gained more and more followers», revealed the City Council of Albufeira, which organized the event, with the support of the Albufeira Parish Council.
