Portimonense was very close to getting a victory against the first ranked League 2, Moreirense, but saw the triumph slip away in added time. The Algarvians drew XNUMX-XNUMX with the northern team at Municipal de Portimão, but the point earned allowed them to move up to fifth place, with one game less than their direct opponents and six points behind the leader.

Portimão's team took the lead in the 49th minute, with a penalty, after a first-half in which there were opportunities for both sides. The service marker was, as usual, Ricardo Pessoa.

Moreirense was looking for the draw and managed to create several occasions, even putting a ball on the post. Those in the house could also have extended the advantage, in dangerous counterattack plays.

The tie ended up coming, following a free-kick, very close to Portimonense's area. André Carvalhas took the measurements on goal and got it right inside, after the 94th minute.

With this result, Portimonense now has 24 points in the League 2 league table, the same as Sporting da Covilhã, which has another game.
