The salaries of the workers of the Algarve Regional Health Administration (ARS), namely those of the Health Centres, were not paid, as usual, yesterday, the 20th, but only tomorrow, the 22nd, the Sul Informação.
Miguel Madeira, member of the Board of Directors of the ARS, communicated, in an email sent yesterday, mid-afternoon, to the executive directors of the three Algarvian Health Center Groups (ACES) that «for reasons to which the Personnel Service is totally unrelated, it was not possible to “pass through” the salary file for this month of November in a timely manner, so that the salaries will only be available in the respective bank accounts on the next 22nd of November (Friday)».
Miguel Madeira's email, the Sul Informação had access, he adds that, "in this sense, regarding the employees or persons responsible for services of the respective ACES who contact you to obtain clarification regarding the delay in depositing their salaries, please inform them that the delay was due to compelling reasons higher and that on the above-mentioned date, without fail, the money will be available in the respective accounts».
The member ends by presenting, «on behalf of ARS, my sincere apology, extended to all employees, for the inconvenience this situation may cause».
O Sul Informação has already asked ARS Algarve for additional clarifications on this situation.
