On the 21st, the Autonomous Re-Gasification Unit of Olhão (UAG), in the city's Industrial Zone, received a simulation with the intervention of Municipal Firefighters and Medigás technicians.
The simulation tested the joint intervention capabilities of the elements that make up the emergency response teams, namely the Municipal Fire Departments and Medigás.
In the operation, which took place normally, the safety of people and goods was guaranteed, through the participation of different security agents, PSP, Municipal Fire Brigade and Maritime Police.
A rupture during an unloading of a liquefied natural gas tanker and a fire caused by a rupture of a pipe were the events tested in the simulacrum.
The response capacity of both Municipal Firefighters and Medigás technicians ensured the success of this intervention.
This type of actions can minimize the time of action of the response teams to any real situations
