David Carreira, Katia Aveiro, Amistades Peligrosas, Diego Miranda or the dj Flip D'Palm are some of the names highlighted in the special program for New Year's Eve in Monte Gordo, which runs from the 27th to the 31st of December…and enters into the new year, of course.
Vila Real de Santo António receives the best New Year's Eve in the Algarve, between the 27th and 31st of December. This year's proposal includes five nights and five different themes with the best artists of today and a spectacular fireworks display.
The program starts on Friday, December 27th, with Katia Aveiro ensuring the main concert of the night. On stage, the sister of player Cristiano Ronaldo will not fail to present her undisputed hit «Boom sem Parar», where the Latin rhythms coordinated by Wildboys and Red One (responsible for the successes of Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez) will not leave anyone indifferent.
This day's poster, dedicated to the “retro” spirit, has many more surprises with Francisco Jackson, the only official Michael Jackson impersonator, and the band “Vide Versus” warming up the crowd. Night out, the dance rhythm continues with Flashback Brothers and Bruno Lourenço.
On Saturday, December 28, the “discotheque” night is announced, with Mastiksoul leading the sound booth controls. Before, the program starts with the sound of the «Allmariados» and the «Grab it Band», ending with the beats of the dj Flip D'Palm.
On Sunday, the 29th, the program starts in the early afternoon with the Mundialito Color and Mundialito Color Bike events, two races for families and athletes that promise lots of color and good mood.
The route will be accompanied by the electrifying rhythms of Diego Miranda (currently in the top 100 of Dj Mag) and many other djs.
After the emotions of the afternoon, the night of December 29th is again heated by Diego Miranda, not before the «Insight» stepping onto the stage and the «Amistades Peligrosas» recalling some of the themes that were successful and crossed generations. At dawn, the rhythms are controlled by dj Rosabrava.
The penultimate night of the year continues to score points. It is dedicated to young people and begins with the sound of the group "Uns e Outros" and "Sebenta", a Portuguese formation that has already proved itself and was part of the soundtrack of successful series such as "Morangos com Açúcar" or "Lua Vermelha". Late night, the multifaceted Dj Ride cheers up the hosts, with the evening being ended by dj Mike Simon.
On New Year's Eve, on December 31st, the unique atmosphere of Monte Gordo begins to be warmed up with the dance rhythms of the «Duo Reflexo».
The biggest night of the year also holds the best surprise in the Algarve region: at twelve o'clock the sky of Baía de Monte Gordo will light up with the colors of a magnificent firework, and then David Carreira will take the stage in the first minutes of 2014 and show why he is one of the most awarded singers of his generation.
In the middle of the Bay of Monte Gordo, David Carreira promises to play and sing live all the singles that have already made a splash in the tops and on national and international dance floors such as «Esta Noite», «Falling Into You», or «A Força é em Nós», theme in who starred in a successful duet with the multifaceted American rapper Snoop Dogg.
Night out, the Smash project drives the final beats of the night.
Besides Monte Gordo, São Silvestre's Night will also be celebrated in VRSA, on December 31st, at Praça Marquês de Pombal, with a concert and lots of entertainment.
New Year's Eve guarantees full hospitality
For Luís Gomes, Mayor of Vila Real de Santo António, «the New Year in Monte Gordo it is already one of the best consolidated events in the Algarve which, year after year, continues to contribute to good hotel occupancy rates and to combat seasonality».

The New Year's Eve program is organized by the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, in partnership with the company RIC7 and the municipality's entrepreneurs. Admission is free.
