Circulation and car parking around the Municipal Markets of Olhão now have the same summer and winter hours, which implies some conditioning.
The Municipal Council of Olhão, stating that it is aware "of the importance of that area for the pedestrian circulation of the people of Olhão and of those who visit us, as well as the existing terraces facing the Ria Formosa", decided, at a Council meeting, to review the schedule that had been being implemented summer and winter.
This change also took into account the need for loading and unloading and parking for all those involved in the various economic activities existing in the Municipal Markets, which is why circulation was divided into two periods.
Thus, the time for interdiction of car traffic will take place from Monday to Friday, between 14 pm and 00 am, being totally prohibited on Saturdays and Sundays.
With this measure, the municipal executive intends to «return one of the most emblematic areas of the city to the people of Olho.
