The mayor of Portimão and the members of the council's permanent executive visited the premises of the city's Health Center building this Monday, at the invitation of Tiago Botelho, executive director of the Algarve II Health Center Group – Barlavento.
The occasion was used by Isilda Gomes to announce that "this week the paving works will begin on the section of the road in front of this building".
Before the guided visit to the premises of the Health Center of Portimão, a working meeting was held, where those responsible for the administration of the Health Center explained the functions of the Health equipment, as well as talking about the reality of the day-to-day reality of the Health Center , which last year alone carried out 132.604 medical consultations.
Isilda Gomes took the opportunity to highlight the posture of dialogue and transparency of this administration, taking the opportunity to reinforce the trust it has in it and in the health technicians who belong to this unit, even considering this equipment as a «fundamental partner of the municipality in the social development of the municipality. ».
The municipality's president also added that the works planned for the public space in front of the Health Center include the paving of the road, sanitation infrastructure, public lighting and sidewalks. The contract will last for a month and a half.
