Three days away from presenting the State budget to the Assembly of the Republic, the Minister of Finance, Helena Pinto Macedo, does not know what to do.
Full of doubts, she thinks about asking her husband Luís, an opposition deputy, for help, but the marriage is on the line, and she gives up.
Believing that only a superior force will enlighten her, she turns to the internationally renowned Professor Furor, taking him home for further description to help her solve the country's problems.
With a guru available 24 hours a day, the minister feels ready to solve the country's problems. However, this guru, who has very little of fury and even less of a Professor, reveals himself to be a true charlatan, incapable of solving the national political crisis but precious to the reconstruction of the Macedo family harmony.
