The new executive at the São Brás de Alportel Chamber, headed by Vítor Guerreiro, from the PS, has already distributed the portfolios. The different folders were distributed by the president and the two full-time councilors, all of them socialists, at a meeting that took place last week.
Chamber president Vítor Guerreiro called upon the coordination and decision regarding Strategic Planning and Structuring Projects, Economic Development, General Administration and Finance, Management of Municipal Heritage, Human Resources, Municipal Representation and Administrative Modernization. The areas of Culture, Education, Security and Civil Protection, Health, Environment, Energy and Green Spaces and Water Supply and Sanitation are also directly under the authority of the mayor.
Councilwoman Marlene Guerreiro was responsible for the current management of the following areas of activity: Social Action, Equality and Housing; External Cooperation; Consumer defense; Youth: Commerce, Fairs and Markets; Communication and Information; Administrative offenses; Heritage and Tourism.
For his part, Councilor Acácio Martins is in charge of the Sports sectors; Free Times; Spatial Planning and Urbanism; Municipal Licensing; Works, Equipment, Road Network and Public Infrastructure; Mobility, Traffic and Signaling; Public and Municipal Transport; Health and Safety at Work and General Workshops and Vehicles.
The full-time service to citizens by the president and respective councilors is maintained on Thursdays, on “Manhãs do Munícipe”, by appointment with the President's Support Office, through Tel. 289 840 023 or 289 840 000 or e-mail [email protected]. The chamber meetings will be held every fortnight, always on Tuesday afternoons, in the Main Hall of the City Council.
