The Milreu Long-Term Integrated Continued Care and Maintenance Unit, in Estoi, in the municipality of Faro, with capacity for 40 beds, will open on Monday, October 7th.

The new unit, managed by the Algarvia Foundation for Social Development, represents an investment of more than 2,5 million euros and occupies a total gross area of ​​3.161,86 square meters, spread over three floors, and an area of ​​exterior renovation of 1.070 square meters.

The unit was financed by the Ministry of Health, under the Model II Program, for the components "buildings and technical facilities" and "equipment", with an amount of 750.000 euros.

With the entry into operation of this unit, ARS Algarve «increases the number of beds available, thus continuing, in a rigorous and sustained manner, with the implementation of the Integrated Continuous Care Network in the Algarve Region», stresses that entity in a press release .

By the end of this year, another unit, built under the Modeling II Program, located in Aljezur, with a capacity of 25 beds, is expected to come into operation.
