The 3rd edition of the Portimão Petisco Route ended on October 13th, after more than five weeks in which gastronomy and entertainment filled the streets of the city, Praia da Rocha and, for the first time, the towns of Alvor and Ferragudo.

Once Rota do Petisco 2013 is over, it is time for the final balance, with the official closing date scheduled for October 25, at 21 pm, at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes, time for the disclosure of the event's numbers and for the drawing of prizes for the petiscadores more assiduous.

Those who managed to collect at least 15 stamps in their passport must validate it at one of the Route's information points and qualify for one of the following prizes, in addition to automatically receiving a voucher to visit the Municipal Museum of Portimão: ten Voucheurs (two people) to visit a winery with wine tasting, four sailing baptisms for two people and two experiences (two people) in Sidecar Tours by Bike my side.

For this closure to be truly a party, there will be no lack of musical entertainment and many other surprises, and another key moment of the evening of October 25 will be the inauguration of the exhibition "A Minha Marca na Rota", in which the best will be exhibited works resulting from the challenge posed to petiscadores to artistically express their experience at the event through plastic arts (“Illustration Route”) and photography (“Illustration Route”).

The best expectations exceeded

The Portimão Petisco Route 2013 was an excellent opportunity for visitors to discover the best that the region has to offer, while locals were encouraged to exchange the comfort of sofas for the (re)discovery of snacks from their land , savoring the proposals available in the 70 participating catering establishments.

Since September 6th, Portimão, Praia da Rocha, Alvor and Ferragudo have felt the “petits and snacks”, between snacks and traditional sweets, exchanges of experiences, music, poetry and conversations, more than many, while passports they were filled with stamps and memories of good times.

The event was still halfway through, as the numbers showed that they had surpassed the best expectations and in recent weeks the spirit has not weakened, continuing until the last day the establishments and streets to experience an unusual life for the beginning of autumn in the Algarve.

One of the secrets that explain the success of this initiative is based on the various synergies that Teia D'Impulsos has established, with emphasis on the partnership with the Municipality of Portimão, which is combined with the support of the Parish Councils of Portimão, Alvor and Ferragudo , Portimão Tourism Association, Algarve Tourism Region, Algarve Tourism Association, Algarve Wine Commission and ACRAL – Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve Region.
