This Saturday, Olhanense beat Arouca at Estádio Algarve by one to zero, an important victory for the team's goal of remaining in the I League and to alleviate the tension experienced at the club. After two consecutive defeats, the Algarve team beat a direct opponent and passed them in the league table.

The club has been experiencing moments of some agitation, also due to the less achieved results in the I League, but mainly because it stopped playing at Estádio José Arcanjo and moved to Parque das Cidades, between Faro and Loulé. Abel Xavier also got credit to remain in charge of the Algarve team.

Until now, the alternative home of Olhanense had not been synonymous with good results, which also did not help the controversial departure from the motherland, motivated by problems on José Arcanjo's pitch.

Yesterday, Olhanense was the most dominant team, ascending that revealed itself on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute, when Dionisi scored the only goal of the match. Until the end, even with Arouca's inconsequential reaction, the Olhão team could have even increased their advantage.

With this result, Olhanense moves away from the waterline, jumping to 11th place, with eight points, the same as Belenenses (10th) and Académica (12th). In last place, in the I Liga, is currently Paços de Ferreira, with four points.
