A group of citizens from Portimão is organizing a farewell dinner for Manuel da Luz, which will take place at 20:30 pm on Friday, November 8, at the Hotel Alvor Praia, Praia dos Três Irmãos, Alvor.
Dinner tickets are on sale since Monday, October 21st. Interested parties should contact the organization through the email [email protected] or through the telephones 919 350 449 and 965 145 379.
Manuel Luz ceased his duties as mayor of Portimão on 10 October, after 14 years in the presidency of the municipality.
Before this dinner in homage to Manuel da Luz, scheduled for 8 November, a farewell dinner for councilor José Francisco Sobral had already taken place on 4 October.
But fashion from farewell dinners to mayors who did not re-apply in the September 29 elections is not exclusive to Portimão. Today, the 25th, it will take place at Quinta da Senhora Menina, in FaroTo dinner in honor of Macário Correia, former mayor of the Algarve capital.
