Of the five Algarve teams at stake, Portimonense, Farense, Esperança de Lagos and Louletano go ahead in the Portuguese Cup, reaching the third round. Only the Lusitano from Vila Real de Santo António was eliminated.

Louletano (CNS) guaranteed on Saturday the passage to the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup, by defeating Praiense (CNS) by 2 to zero at home. The two goals of the match were scored by Anderson.

This Sunday, Portimonense (2L) defeated Boavista (CNS) by 2-1, in Porto.

On the other hand, Farense (2L), who played at home, only managed to qualify after the shoot-out from the penalty spot (7-6). At the end of regular time, they hadn't managed more than a 2-2 draw with Lusitânia de Lourosa (CNS).

Also playing at home, Esperança de Lagos (CNS) beat Pedras Rubras (District) by 1-0.

The bean fell to Lusitano from VRSA (D), who ended up being the only Algarve team eliminated in this second round of the Cup. Guadiana's club fell at the feet of São João de Ver (CNS), beaten by resounding 5-0.
