A piano concert by Luís Conceição will take place on September 14, at 19 pm, at the Ermida de São Sebastião, in Tavira, as part of the project “Música nas Igrejas” which is an organization of the Academy of Music of Tavira.
Luís Conceição was born in 1974. He began his musical studies at the age of five, at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve, having completed the General Piano Course. He graduated in Musical Sciences, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and, in Piano, at Universidade de Évora.
He worked as an accompanist pianist, teacher of piano and music history in several national conservatories.
As a pianist and composer, he has performed in numerous national and international rooms, solo and in chamber and orchestral formations.
As a composer, he has already had 200 works, since 1993, recorded on author edition cd's. Its language is essentially fusion, showing affinities with ethnic, classical and jazz music. He currently teaches at the Music Academy of Tavira.
