The Minister of Economy and Employment Álvaro Santos Pereira will be at the Conrad Algarve Hotel, in Quinta do Lago, Almancil, on the 10th of July to make a presentation on the theme «The new bets of Tourism in Portugal», at a lunch-debate scheduled to start at 12:30.

The member of government will be in the region at the invitation of the Luso-British Chamber of Commerce (CCLB), which organizes the event and will answer questions from the audience after his intervention.

«More investment to boost the Portuguese economy has been the watchword in recent times. The Minister of Economy has already implemented some measures aimed at supporting companies that invest in Portugal, however the various players in the tourism sector insist that these are not enough to attract medium and long-term investments, especially foreign investment, nor enough to boost the economy in essential molds», framed the event's organizers.

With the initiative, CCLB hopes to contribute "to the debate about how tourism in Portugal can be improved and increased". The event is sponsored by the Blacktower Financial Management Group, Hospital Particular do Algarve and Lloyds TSB International, and with the support of the Sovereign Group and Quinta do Barranco Longo.
