The University of the Algarve (UAlg), supported by the Association of Construction, Public Works and Services Companies (AECOPS), will offer a one-year tuition fee to 12 students from the 1st year of the Civil Engineering Course at this institution, who enter Higher Education through the national competition.

The criteria for awarding these scholarships, with a global value of around 12 thousand euros, are the order of preference of the course in the application made by the students, and then the application grade.

AECOPS supports the initiative “in an autonomous way”, with the objective of “encouraging candidates for Higher Education to enroll in this course, which, over the years, has contributed a lot to the region's economy”.

«The fund is financed by companies in the region, in the civil construction area or with an affinity to the sector, framed by the Patronage Law, being the object of a protocol with the University of the Algarve, which supports this initiative», revealed the UAlg, in a note from press.

Potential beneficiaries of this measure may contact the Secretariat of the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Algarve, by telephone 289 800 154 or by email [email protected] for more information.
