The man who, on the morning of June 22, assaulted a person in Albufeira, gun in hand, tearing off "a very valuable gold cord that the victim wore around his neck", was detained by the Southern Directorate of Police Judiciary.
The man, suspected of the crime of violent robbery, after the robbery, fled on foot, adds the PJ; in a statement.
The 27-year-old defendant will be present at the first judicial interrogation, to apply the coercive measures deemed appropriate.
