The Marina de Albufeira will become a port of discovery at the end of the XNUMXth century, between Thursday and Sunday, recreating the time when Portuguese navigators began their voyages and maritime explorations.
Thus, from June 6th to 9th, the Marina de Albufeira hosts this historical recreation of daily life in the Algarve in the time of D. Afonso V, “O Africano”, in the second half of the XNUMXth century.
Between 16:00 and 24:00, from Thursday to Sunday, it will be possible to watch demonstrations of Falconry, Archery, Gun Shows, Popular Dances, Theatrical Rables, Horse Tournaments and Historical Workshops of the crafts of the time (blacksmith, tanneries, fabrics ).
Through the enclosure, jugglers, fire-breathers and many other medieval characters will parade. The Fair will be animated by musical venues, tents on display, craft and typical trade stalls, and thematic workshops. The little ones can participate in medieval children's games designed for their age.
The event is organized by Marina de Albufeira, Albufeira Marina Owners Association, “Live Past – Historical Culture and Recreation”, and has the support of the Municipality of Albufeira.
Admission costs three euros per day per adult and one euro for children between 4 and 12 years old.
