In the month of June, when cork harvesters masterfully strip the cork oak forest, the São Brás de Alportel Nature Tours Cycle invites you to discover the Cork Route step by step, next Sunday, the 30th.
In this special month that marks the Municipality Day and the National Cork Day – 1 June – the cycle of tours departs towards the Cork Route, having as a meeting point the Alportel Museum, at 9:30 am*.
The history of São Brás de Alportel is intimately associated with the cork sector, a universe that contributed decisively to the development of São Brás and its elevation to a county.
In this context, with the support of the Rota da Cork Association and a specialist in heritage, the Nature Tours Cycle invites you to unveil the uniqueness of the cork history of São Brás de Alportel, with a tour of the cork oak groves and the current status of the cork row.
