«Fish Consumption and Health Benefits» is the theme of the colloquium that will take place tomorrow, the 23rd, at 17 pm, in Olhão, at the Praça de Agadir Auditorium.

Speakers will be Teresa Sancho, from the Nutrition Office of the Algarve Regional Health Administration, Irineu Batista, from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere, and Fernando Severino, Regional Director for Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve.

The initiative is part of the Olhão Flavors Show, which runs until Sunday, and is promoted by the entities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Sea, Environment and Spatial Planning – Docapesca, Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve and Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere – and by Algarve Regional Health Administration, With institutional sponsorship and collaboration from the Municipality of Olhão.

Docapesca's participation in the Olhão Flavors Show is part of the Cavala Campaign, developed within the scope of the CCL project – Proof of Purchase in Auction, co-financed by the PROMAR program.

The objective of CCL is to contribute to the qualitative and quantitative valuation of fish and, consequently, to the sustainability of resources, to increase the profitability of the Fisheries sector in Portugal and the remuneration of our fishermen.
