O Left Block request for hearing at the Parliamentary Health Commission of the former director of the Grouping of Health Centers (ACES) Algarve II – Barlavento was today rejected with votes against by the PSD and the CDS.

The objective of this hearing was “to find out the perspectives of the former director regarding the reorganization of healthcare in the Algarve, which is underway”, stresses the BE.

The application ended up receiving only the favorable votes of the PCP, PS and Left Bloc, and was therefore rejected.

BE's deputies considered, in their application, that «given the relevance of Rosa Gonçalves' role in the organization of primary health care in the Algarve, certainly that her hearing at the Parliamentary Health Commission will be very useful for understanding the existing problems. in primary health care in this region'.

For this reason, the Left Bloc considered it important that the Parliamentary Health Commission receive Rosa Gonçalves in hearing, “in order to know her perspectives on the ongoing reorganization of healthcare in the Algarve”.

Martins dos Santos, president of the Regional Health Administration (ARS) and responsible for the ongoing reorganization, was heard in the Parliamentary Committee, on the 15th, also at the request of the Bloc.

Rosa Gonçalves resigned from her duties allegedly for not agreeing with the most recent guidelines of the Regional Health Administration for the primary care sector in the Algarve.
