Olhanense took a first and important step in its goal of remaining in the I League by beating Rio Ave in Olhão by 1-XNUMX. An own goal by Tarantini, still in the first half, determined a full debut for the young Algarve coach Bruno Saraiva, a risky bet by the direction of the club that, for now, proved to be in full.

Olhanense entered the field after a few days of work with the new technical team. The exchange of Manuel Cajuda for Bruno Saraiva, who came to the XNUMXst League from the XNUMXst District Division, where he coached Moncarapachense, will have caused a lot of suspicion, but at this moment he will be praised by the club's supporters.

With this victory, Olhanense climbs to 14th place, one point behind Beira-Mar, who also won this weekend and dropped out of last place, and three behind Moreirense, who lost to Braga and is now Lanterna Vermelha.

Olhanense once again depends on itself to remain in the top echelon of Portuguese football. There are two games left until the end of the championship, a visit to Alvalade to face Sporting in a week and the reception to Marítimo in the last round.
