The Luso and Spanish Lower Guadiana has a new and suggestive tourist itinerary for the territory. One of the most complete guides with the particularity of choosing personalized tourist itineraries. The publication was made within the scope of the GUADITER project.

A single territory and fifteen different municipalities on either side of the border. The new itinerary compiles Algarve, Alentejo and Spanish Baixo Guadiana municipalities whose great link is once again the «Grande Rio do Sul».

The most recent itinerary has an attractive and suggestive structure that helps the reader to know the tourist, cultural and environmental resources of the Lower Guadiana in their historical context, being an edition edited by the Junta de Andalucia – Consejeria de Turismo Y Comercio.

The publication is divided into four major chapters: the territory, its landscapes, its People, its customs, in order to contextualize the visitor about the particularities of the territory; presentation of the locations and the main tourist resources of each one of them; itinerary selection: offers the visitor a wide selection of itineraries to choose according to the location, tourist preferences, available time and means of transport that they intend to use.

Routes for family or combined vehicles are proposed, as well as non-motorized routes, for walking or cycling, and for long or short routes.

The fourth and last chapter brings together a series of useful data relating to accommodation, restaurants, shopping and services, as well as festivities in the territory.

This publication is available in three languages ​​at no cost from the Odiana Association and also online .

The itinerary comes through the GUADITER project, whose purpose is to disseminate a joint tourism strategy to promote a structured offer in the Lower Guadiana. This is a cooperation initiative between the Algarve – Alentejo – Andalusia and financed by the Portugal – Spain Cross-border Cooperation Programme.
