Paginários – Páginas do Imaginário, an initiative of the Municipality of Albufeira, celebrates 10 years of existence this year. The X edition, which starts today and runs until June 1, has as its central theme the Celebrations of the International Year of Cooperation for Water.
A theme that led those responsible for the ATL (Free Time Activities Center) of Vale de Parra to choose the play “A Menina Gotinha de Água” to present at the IX Mostra de Teatro Escolar.
Paginários opens its doors to the community on the 29th with an Exhibition of works carried out in the county's various educational spaces and a set of workshops ranging from face painting, radio programs, traditional games, story time, creative balloons, education in the traffic, board games, among other activities organized for children in the 1st cycle, kindergartens and nurseries in Albufeira.
The activities take place in the Municipal Auditorium and in Largo dos Paços do Concelho, from May 29th to 31st, between 10:00 am and 15:30 pm, and on the last day – June 1st – they start at the same time but end around 13:00 pm .
Highlight of the program on the first day, during the opening ceremony, at 10:00 am, for the presentation of a moment of Creative Dance, by the group of seniors from Clube Avô.
The Escolar Theater Show is an initiative that is now in its 9th edition and has been extremely successful with the educational community.
This year, for the first time, students from the Professional Course for Child Support Technicians from the Albufeira Schools Group (EBSA) will have the participation of the play “Aldeia dos Desportistas” – on the 29th, 10:30 am, at Municipal Auditorium – and on the 31st, also at 10:30 am, at the same location, it is the turn of the Vale de Parra ATL students to present “A Menina Gotinha de Água”, a story for children that is part of the National Reading Plan.
On June 1st, the Municipality will offer the book “O Sonho de Mariana”, accompanied by a pillow and a Guide with advice for the parents of babies born in Albufeira between May 2012 and May 2013. The ceremony that closes the Paginários This year it takes place at the Main Hall of the Paços do Concelho, starting at 10:00 am.
