The Sporting Clube Farense team takes to the stage of the Academic Week today for another tribute, this time from the university students, for their rise to the II League. Players from the historic club in the Algarve capital will be present at the University of Algarve student party on the same day as the band. Faro Melomeno-Rítmica occupies a prominent place in the program.

O Sul Informação and the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg) will give four people the opportunity to win tickets for this evening. Just keep an eye out for the competition that we will soon be putting on our website.

This is the second consecutive time that Farense celebrates its ascent in the «País das Maravilhas», SA's venue and, curiously, last year it did so on the same day that the Farense band got together to give a concert, after years without activity. Even because the main elements of the band are the same as the group "Nome", an Algarve band that in recent years has been very successful at regional and national level.

For the president of the club António Barão “it's already starting to be a talisman” to go to the Academic Week. “The university has to be linked to Farense, because it has youth and this is something the club needs. We have to create a strong mystique here», he said.

The news that Farense should be present at the 2013 SA had already been advanced first-hand by the treasurer of AAUAlg Nelson Sobreiro, in an interview he gave to our newspaper and RUA FM, both official partners of the event.

On the night that the party venue, located in the Penha Sports Complex, opens its doors, the Algarve's Ricardo Sousa and the Melomeno-Rítmica will take the stage. Farense's presence is expected at 22:30.

As it is Friday, the headliner will be DJ Chus, who will play after DJs «Daniel D» and «Oscar L». At Tenda Eletrónica, the party continues with DJ Jossa and Gonzalez.
