The University of Algarve (UAlg) approved the regulation of the Social Support Fund, an instrument that aims to support students in tuition fees and is intended for students not covered by direct social support that have “manifest and proven economic difficulties or that, for reasons outside the household, are harmed when the Scholarships are awarded”.

Applications for this fund can be formalized until April 30, using a specific form, available at UAlg's Social Action Services (SAS), on the Penha Campus.

More information about the principles of the allocation of the Social Support Fund can be obtained on the university website.

UAlg also clarified that this regulation now approved by the Social Action Council «defines the process of attribution within the scope of the monetary support system for the attendance of students enrolled at UAlg in technological specialization courses (CET), licentiate, masters or integrated masters ».
