The amount raised by enrollment in the Silves Tour, scheduled for May 5, Mother's Day, will revert to Silves Futebol Clube, whose stadium suffered considerable damage from the passage of the tornado last November.
As usual, the event consists of two modes of participation, translated into a walking tour with two urban routes, 4 km and 9 km, and a bicycle tour, with routes ranging between 17 and 20 km, from low and medium difficulty, respectively.
Participation in any of the competitions costs 5 euros (includes t-shirt and personal accident insurance), and registration must be made by email to the e-mail address [email protected], until the 3rd of May , in person at Silves Municipal Swimming Pools, or until 9:00 am on May 5th, at the departure location.
This year's edition, organized by the Municipality of Silves and by Silves Futebol Clube, has, so far, with the adhesion, participation and support of various entities, public and private, such as the IPDJ – Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth , National March and Run programme, Água Serra da Estrela, My Dinamic, Instituto Piaget, AR Publicidade, Gráfica Zambujo, Frutas Martinho, Frutas Mourinho, Francisco Vieira e Filhos, Lda – Laranjas do Algarve, LARA – Laranja do Algarve, SA, Super C, Delta Cafés, Vale d'Oliveiras – Quinta Resort & SPA, Colina dos Mouros Hotel, Fernando dos Leitões restaurant, Silves GNR and Silves Volunteer Firefighters.
The Silves Tour also has Clube Xelb as a partner and as a media partner the Sul Informação.
