Reguengos de Monsaraz and Borba will host the Regional Forum of Alentejo Wines on April 19th and 20th. This initiative organized by the two municipalities and the Association of Portuguese Municipalities of Wine integrates a set of 10 regional forums that will support the National Congress “Wine and the Rural World”, which will take place during the National Agricultural Fair, in Santarém .

The Regional Forum of Alentejo Wines starts on April 19, at 9:30 am, at the Pavilhão de Eventos, in Borba, and opens with the panel “New Challenges in the Rural World and Innovation”, which will have as speakers representatives of the Regional Management of Economics of Alentejo, from the Escola Superior Agrária de Elvas, the Escola Superior Agrária de Beja and the Adega Mayor.

The second panel, “Wine and Sustainable Economy”, will feature communications from the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission, the Alentejo Regional Development Association and the Vine and Wine Institute.

Closing the morning we will talk about “Wine, Gastronomy and Tourism” with interventions by Turismo do Alentejo ERT, Confraternity of Alentejo Gastronomy, Confraternity of Oenophiles of Alentejo and Herdade dos Grous. In the afternoon, the panel “Wine and Communication” will have as speakers responsible for the Alentejo Wine Route, Revista de Vinhos, Jornal de Vinhos, Diário do Sul newspaper and Adega de Borba.

On April 20, the Municipal Auditorium of Reguengos de Monsaraz receives the Regional Forum of Alentejo Wines. From 9:30 am, the theme “Wine, Municipalities and Local Agents” will be addressed, with communications from CARMIM – Agricultural Cooperative of Reguengos de Monsaraz, Agricultural Cooperative of Granja, Winery Cooperative of Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito, Winery Cooperative of Redondo, Winery Cooperative of Portalegre, Adega de Borba and the Intermunicipal Community of Central Alentejo. The conclusions of the forum will be in charge of the Monte ACE Association, Technical Association of Alentejo Wine Growers, Professional School of the Alentejo Region, University of Évora and the National Federation of Cooperative Wineries.
