The municipal company Mercados de Olhão will organize, starting on April 14th, the Mercadinho de Olhão, between 15:00 and 20:00, on the riverside, next to the Markets. The Mercadinho takes place every 15 days, with the next editions already scheduled for April 15th and May 28th.
This initiative intends to be a space for the presentation and sale of local and regional handicraft products, integrated in the preservation of the traditions of Olhão.
As a space for education, information and culture, the Mercadinho de Olhão also aims to boost innovative and traditional businesses, encouraging and stimulating the creation of new commercial activities and contributing to local development and revitalization of the riverside area of Olhão.
The Mercadinho, which will accommodate a maximum of 24 participants, will have extended hours between June and September, operating during this summer period from 17:00 to 24:00.
This is yet another way to liven up the riverside area of Olhão, a place traditionally frequented by many people and which now has another attraction, boosting the local culture and economy.
Enrollments for those who want to be part of this initiative, promoting their products at the Mercadinho de Olhão, will take place between the 2nd and 10th of April, and those interested must fill in and deliver the respective application at store 43 of Mercados Municipais de Olhão (the form of application can be found online at the CMO website) or apply on site.
