Manuel Cajuda is the guest speaker for the fourth conference of the cycle «Attentive School to Students' Problematics», organized by the Escola Internacional do Algarve.

The football coach will address the theme “The Importance of Sport in the Development of Young People”, on April 24, from 19 pm, at the Albufeira Municipal Auditorium, with the support of the Albufeira Town Hall.

Manuel Cajuda is a UEFA level IV coach (the highest level) and currently directs the football team at Sporting Clube Olhanense, a club in the city where he was born 62 years ago.

He has a 30-year career as a football coach and this year he reached the bar of 500 games as head coach in the highest level of Portuguese football. He is one of the most prestigious Portuguese football coaches, having worked for two dozen clubs and participating in the most important competitions in Europe and Africa.

Manuel Cajuda's trademark is team building; the motivation and recovery of groups in crisis and their promotion to surprising results.

He has already taken teams from the second to the first division and in several he has achieved the best results in decades of club history.
Manuel Cajuda achieves these results combining his technical capacity with a strong emotional and psychological component, understanding football, competition, sport in a more comprehensive human dimension than physical and technical preparation.

“At a time when young people are moving away from more sedentary activities related to new technologies, we think it would be useful to emphasize the importance of the practice of sport for the personal, social and school development of children and adolescents. Manuel Cajuda's experience is the best testimony to this motivation», stresses the International School of the Algarve.

The conferences of the Escola Internacional do Algarve aim to disseminate knowledge and intervention strategies on issues related to the development of young people. They take place monthly, with a different theme in each city visited in the Algarve and always open to the community, with free entry.
