The Vicente Campinas Municipal Library, in Vila Real de Santo António, will once again host the cycle «Sinónimos de Leitura», between the 18th and 24th of April. The initiative, which is heading towards its second edition, promotes reading in all its perspectives and the universe that makes it possible.

For a week, the library presents a vast program of activities around books, which include activities such as storytelling sessions, conversations with writers, art and art workshops and a book fair.

The literary meetings begin on Thursday, the 18th, at 18 pm, with the presentation of the book «O Algarve em 00D», by Jacinto Dias. On April 3, at 19:18 pm, João Caldeira Romão launches the work “The value of things”, while on April 00, at 20:16 pm, Fernando Évora brings to dialogue the book “Amor e Liberdade by Germana Pata-Roxa”. On the 00th of April, at 24 pm, it is the turn of teacher Graça Ferreira to present the work «Romance after 18s», by Isabel Vila Pery.

For the younger ones, the short story sessions are hosted by Mª Rosário Proença, Pedro Santos, António Fontinha, Fátima Valentim, Assunção Constantino, Mariana Rego and Margarida Gomes. Pedro Leitão promotes reading animation sessions on the 22nd, at 10:00 am, 11:00 am and 14:30 pm.

The «Synonyms of Reading» also dedicate space to the performing arts and will host, on the 24th at 14 pm, the «O auto do curandeiro» by the Theater Group and Music Club of the Castro Marim Schools Group.

«The book: literature and not only» is the theme of the get-together moderated by Susana de Sousa, on the 23rd, at 18 pm.

The music also gains its space on April 23, at 10:00 am and 11:00 am, with a concert commented by Prof. Rui Martins, from the Regional Conservatory of VRSA. The program ends on the 24th, at 21 pm, with the show «Canções de Abril», by Ecos de Coimbra.
