Marcelino Teixeira is the new chairman of the Tavira Cycling Club for the 2013/2015 biennium, after being elected on April 10th at a General Assembly, which had an «unusual presence of members».

According to the CCT press release, Marcelino Teixeira is also taking over the financial area, and the club has Vidal Fitas as vice president and responsible for all cycling.

The direction is also composed of Humberto Puga, as president of the General Assembly, and Armindo Nunes, as president of the Supervisory Board.

The new management "has as its primary objective to restructure the entire Club, with emphasis on the professional team", stresses the same press release.

On the other hand, «there is the intention of betting on training as an agglutinating target for new cyclists in the region. This is a medium/long term project aimed at projecting the Club beyond borders».
