The XIV Ria Formosa Race March is scheduled for March 17 (Sunday) and is included in the Program Faro Active, in order to encourage the practice of physical activity in contact with nature.

The race will take place in the parish of Montenegro, in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, an excellent framework for this initiative aimed at all age groups.

The gathering of participants is scheduled for 9:00 am, at the International Motorbike Meeting (Vale das Almas) and the departure for the various routes of the Marcha-Corrida is scheduled for 10:00 am.

Until then there will be the following animation program:

09:00 am- Concentration, dance class/demonstration, space for slides (scooters, skateboards), gymkhana space, space for traditional games (sack race and rope pull), craft fair.
09:30 am to 09:45 am- Performance of the Folklore Group of Faro.
09:45 am- Warming up.

Participants will be able to choose the desired route distance: 4 km, 7 km or 10 km.

The Ria Formosa Marcha-Corrida project is part of the Strategy Faro Active and intends to make the citizen “more active” and to generalize the practice of sports, thus contributing to the improvement of their quality of life.

This march has achieved, year after year, the status of the best march on the calendar, both for the beauty of the place where the activity takes place and for the careful organization of the event.
