Olhanense lost tonight at home against Sporting de Braga by 1-0. The game was balanced, but in the end it was worth Leandro Salino's goal, scored after 11 minutes. The team from Olhão remains in 14th position, just a point from 15th, Moreirense, which is just below the waterline in the I League league table.

Braga came in stronger and ended up scoring early in the game. But, more than being at a disadvantage, it was Mauricio's chilling injury, near the middle of the first half, that seemed to galvanize the home team.

The sub-captain and veteran player of the Algarve team injured himself in the ankle area in an attempt to cut and got the idea that he had made a very serious fracture. It was immediately replaced and taken to the Hospital of Faro, for treatment.

From this moment on, Olhanense seemed to have woken up and shortly afterwards Djaniny arrived slightly behind in a cross from the right, with Quim fisting his way. Olhanense continued to try, without success, to target Braga's goal and gave the idea that they could reach a draw, until the end of the first half. Before the break, Braga also lost a central defender through injury, in this case Sasso.

In the second half, the game remained divided, with opportunities for both teams. Zé Luís had a sovereign opportunity isolated against Bracalli, but he shot over the top.

On 82 minutes Djaniny could have tied the game, but Braga goalkeeper Quim avoided the goal with a good defense, in what would have been the best chance of the home team in the entire game.

Next week, the Algarve team moves to Moreira de Cónegos, to face Moreirense, in a game that can be decisive in the fight for permanence, considering that it is the team that is just behind Olhanense in the standings.
