The Mundialito de Futebol 2013 will once again count on the collaboration of hundreds of volunteers so that nothing goes wrong in the biggest children's championship in the world, which ends this Saturday, in Vila Real de Santo António.

From the start-up day, around 150 Portuguese and Spanish volunteers accompany all the teams step by step, with many of the participants repeating the experience year after year and joining the opening and closing ceremonies.

Among the tasks carried out by the volunteers, the work of guiding hundreds of children between hotels and football fields, helping the teams with the river crossing between Vila Real de Santo António and Ayamonte or providing information to thousands of people stand out. visitors arriving at the VRSA Sports Complex.

Volunteer actions have been with Mundialito since its first edition in VRSA, in 2007, and have attracted the attention of hundreds of people aged 14 and over.

These activities were also at the basis of the foundation of the VRSA Local Volunteer Bank, a structure that is managed by the municipality and develops a permanent work in collaboration with associations and IPSS.

 

Finals are played this Saturday

The finals of Mundialito 2013 will be played this Saturday, at the Municipal Stadium of VRSA, from 14:30 pm, and at the pace of one game per level (cherubs, pre-schools, schools and children).

The awards and closing ceremonies are scheduled for 18:30.

 

About Mundialito 2013

In 2013, Mundialito is even bigger and has the participation of 4.000 children from 54 nationalities and 200 teams from the four corners of the world.

The numbers make the competition the largest of its kind in the world, highlighting the Iberian scale of the competition, with the games being played simultaneously in the cities of VRSA and Ayamonte (Spain).

The tournament is divided into four groups: in addition to the usual formations (7/8 years, 9/10 years and 11/12 years), the Cherubim class, aimed at children born in 2007 (soccer of 6 ).
