José Inácio Marques Eduardo, current president of the municipality, is once again the PSD candidate for the Chamber of Lagoa, announced today by the Political Committee of the Lagoa Section of the Social Democratic Party. The decision was taken unanimously at a Council meeting last Friday, the 22nd.

According to the PSD/Lagoa, «the choice of the candidate was based on the enormous experience of municipal management, on the deep knowledge about organization, functioning and dynamics of the municipal activity, as well as on the high sense of mission that, in the difficult period that the country is the region has been crossing, has shown in the conduct of destinations in this Municipality and in the extraordinary response it has given in the most adverse situations».

The Social Democrats add that “Lagoa remains one of the most financially stable municipalities in the region and in the country, despite cuts in its own revenues and the difficult economic situation in the region, without however ever having neglected its obligations towards the its citizens».

"It is the continuation of this policy, responsible, secure and determined to always raise the level of our Council that our candidate ensures, therefore, the Political Commission places all its trust in him and is certain of the electoral success in the Autárquicas 2013".

In Lagoa, the PS candidate is Francisco Martins, current president of the Parish Council, having his candidacy announced last December.
