Albufeira Municipal Stadium will once again be the stage, on the 16th of March, of the Albufeira International Football Tournament.

The competition will take place between 9:00 am and 18:00 pm, and will count on the participation of around 600 athletes from Portuguese teams (APEXA- Albufeira, Acaso- Olhão, APCL – Lisbon, AAPACDM – Faro, AAPACDM – Setúbal, Gaia Anima and Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Albufeira) and Dutch (CJVV – Amersfoort, BVV – Barendrecht).

Now in its 6th edition, this Tournament is only possible thanks to the partnership between APEXA - Association for the Support of the Exceptional Person of the Algarve, the Municipality of Albufeira and some institutions in Amersfoort, Netherlands, which are dedicated to promoting people's sport with disabilities.

The objectives are to promote participation in an Adapted Sports Activity and provide people with physical and mental disabilities the opportunity to socialize with people from other parts of the country and with teams of other nationalities.

The involvement of the Municipality of Albufeira in the organization of the International Adapted Football Tournament thus assumes particular relevance, expressing the municipality's commitment to promoting adapted sporting activities and encouraging cultural exchange and equal opportunities for exceptional people.
