The movement «With Faro no Coração» argued that Macário Correia will have to come out badly, taking into account the refusal to step down from the presidency of the Chamber of Faro, after the Constitutional Court again refused to consider the appeal it presented.
“Engineer Macário Correia should have left a long time ago, but it has already been seen that he does not want to leave to reach the end of his term of office, resorting to expedients. Naturally, not leaving on their own initiative and for good, it will be “run” thanks and by force», defended the movement that supported José Vitorino's candidacy for the Chamber of Faro in 2009.
«Unfortunately, what is happening now confirms a deplorable posture that is commented and condemned throughout the country, and which seriously harms Faro and the agents of public life in general, and the PSD and CDS in particular», defended the CFC, in a press release.
The movement accused Macário Correia of claiming “that there is no separation between executive, legislative and judicial powers, considering himself the holder of all powers”. And he considered that an open-dinner that the mayor will be organizing as a "pre-insurgency initiative and an affront to the judiciary has set up and will participate in a public demonstration."
This position was taken this Wednesday, before the PSD made public a note which apparently ruled out the possibility of Macário Correia being the candidate chosen by him, by his alleged suggestion.
