Olhanense lost tonight in Madeira by 3-1 with Nacional, in a game in which the Madeirans were almost always on top. A result that keeps the Algarve team in a “dangerous” 13th place in the league, just above the waterline and just 2 points from the relegation places.

Nacional started the game better and in the first half the game was one-way, with many opportunities for the home team. After 11 minutes, Mário Rondon put the Madeiran team ahead and the dominance continued until the move to the changing rooms. Bracalli, who played for Nacional for many years, denied the goal to the islanders several times and kept Olhanense in the game.

In the second half, the Algarvian team came more determined to discuss the result and managed to draw the match, on 69 minutes, by André Micael. The Olhanense defender took advantage of a saved ball forward, after a shot by Djaniny and equalized.

The tie lasted just four minutes and on 73 minutes the newcomer Moreno put Nacional in advantage.

In the 84th minute, the Madeirans established the final result, through a penalty awarded by Revson, punishing an alleged lack of Bracalli on Diego Barcellos.

Still, the journey did not only bring bad news for the formation of Olhão. The Algarvians lost in a difficult field and their closest competitors didn't do much better.

In Minho, the derby between Moreirense (15th) and Gil Vicente (12th) ended up tied to zero and Beira-mar (14th) had already lost on Saturday at Vitória de Setúbal's home.
