The Municipality of Alcoutim awarded today, at a council meeting, the improvement of municipal road 507 – section Cortes Pereiras/Alcoutim, for 669.813,25 euros. The paving and signaling works should start as early as April and be completed in eight months.
There are also two tenders underway to improve the roads Giões/Farelos/Tesouro/Municipal Road 124 and Pereiro/Serro da Vinha/Santa Marta, investments estimated at around 520.000,00 euros and 430.000,00 euros, respectively.
Alcoutim City Council defined the road network as an area of primary investment in 2013, with an expression of 2,5 million euros in this year's budget.
