Portimonense Sporting Clube is, along with Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the only club in the whole country to compete in all levels of national competitions organized by the Portuguese Basketball Federation.
"This sporting event, the result of hard work and dedication of the athletes and their families and also of their technical teams and club officials, places Portimonense at an appreciable level and of which it is quite proud", stresses the club in a press release.
The basketball section of Portimonense currently has around 160 children and young people practicing the sport in the city of Portimão.
This season, the Portimão club's basketball has already been crowned Regional Champion Under 14 for men, Vice Regional Champion for Under 14 Women, Regional Under 16 Women Champion, 3rd place for Men's Under 16 Regional Championship, Under 18 Men's Regional Champion and also Sub Regional Vice Champion 19 female.
