LIVTC Portugal Lda, a start-up in the area of Digital Home Technology, whose activity began in the United Kingdom, is the first company to install itself in the Business Incubator of Tavira.
This start-up founds this project with the guarantee of being an asset in the critical mass that is intended to be incorporated into the concept and structure of the business incubator.
After a successful proof of concept, LIVTC Portugal chose Tavira and the Algarve to create its headquarters in Portugal dedicated to the area of research, development and production of new products, intending through Tavira to gain entry into several markets.
LIVTC has an innovative offering in that it offers ready-to-use digital hi-fi and multi-room sound & image solutions.
For Amélia Santos, managing partner of LIVTC, “EMPET's support for the establishment of the company in Tavira was very important. We are certain that the incubator's network will allow us to further expand our network of partnerships which already include several English and Portuguese companies in the area of hi-fi and digital homes such as Majik House, Adventures in Hi-Fi or MyAudiophilestore'.

This is the first significant past given by the municipal company EMPET – Parques Empresarias de Tavira for the materialization of its action plan in the realization of a support space for companies that intend to establish themselves in the municipality.
The project that EMPET is developing for the constitution of a business incubator, will allow the capitalization and necessary support for the solid creation of companies that will progressively locate their activity in a properly qualified and infrastructured area.
Although in an embryonic stage of development of the installation process, the objective is to add critical mass that will determine the success of the project.
EMPET, stating that it recognizes "that public entities must establish relations of reciprocal collaboration with a view to satisfying the public interest, namely, the growth of the municipality's economy and employment, promotes through the project "Ativar Tavira" the necessary impetus to welcome new companies through the Business Incubator of Tavira».
For João Pedro Rodrigues, president of EMPET, «the installation of LIVTC is a defining moment in the impulse we want for the Business Incubator of Tavira and the fact that it is a company in the technology area is significant for the critical mass we want to add, but the incubator's program foresees multi-sector companies, focusing on the areas of the Economy of the Sea, Agriculture and Agro-industry and Tourism».
After the connection between the Tavira Municipality and the New Jersey Institute of Technology, which promoted a privileged relationship in the adoption of an internationally recognized technology incubation and transfer model and the close collaboration with Algardata, for the definition of the map of technological needs to be implemented, EMPET and Tavira assert themselves in a position to «offer the best resources to established companies, providing the business centers with the latest technologies, promoting greater competitiveness capable of providing response to market requirements'.
