This Saturday, at 15 pm, the IPIMAR Auditorium will host a hearing session with the population about the Ria Formosa, as part of a petition presented to the Assembly of the Republic and which reached the Committee on Environment, Spatial Planning and Local Government .
The PSD deputy elected by the Algarve Cristóvão Norte, whom the committee chose as rapporteur on this matter, will be present at the session. The initiative is open to those who want to participate.
The petition that will be under discussion was presented by citizens and associations in the Algarve and asked the Parliament "to urge the Government to initiate the studies, scheduling and promotion of the respective works to mitigate the problems affecting the Ria Formosa, namely coastal erosion, weak hydrodynamics and pollution".
