The classic Concerto de Reis, by Orquestra do Algarve, the new Encontro de Charolas and the start of another cycle of Promenade Concerts will mark the first month of 2013 at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
On Sunday, at 21 pm, the Orquestra do Algarve, conducted by the English conductor Stuart Stratford, opens the program of the year in this cultural space with a concert marked by sounds from classic to contemporary, which will include pieces by composers Arvo Pärt, Benjamin Britten and Haydn, promising to delight the audience.
A week later, on January 13th, at 14:30 pm, the 32nd Charolas Meeting of the City of Faro, organized by the Municipality of Faro, with the performance of several groups of charolas from the parishes of the municipality of Faro.
Also on a Sunday, but closer to the end of the month, precisely on the 27th at 12 pm, the Promenade concerts once again give the general public the opportunity to get to know some great works of classical music.
The featured piece on the first Promenade of 2013 will be “Swan Lake” by Tchaikovsky.
